Tales from Far Away is a personal storytelling project. We keep things simple and collect as little data as possible. This policy explains what we collect and why.

Cookies & Local Storage

This site does not use analytics or advertising trackers. We only use essential cookies and local storage to remember your preferences (such as language and theme). These are strictly necessary for the site to function as expected and do not track you across websites.

If you subscribe to our newsletter, your email address is sent to our email provider Kit.com (formerly ConvertKit) to send you story updates. Kit.com processes your data on our behalf under their privacy policy. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email. Your email address is retained for as long as you remain subscribed and is deleted from our list upon unsubscription.

Payments & Support

When you support us through Patreon or Ko-fi, your payment is processed entirely by those platforms. We do not collect, store, or have access to your payment details (credit card numbers, bank information, etc.). Please refer to each platform's own privacy policy for details on how they handle your data.

Hosting

This site is hosted on Vercel. As part of normal web hosting, Vercel may collect technical data such as IP addresses, browser type, and request timestamps in server logs for security and operational purposes. This processing is based on our legitimate interest in maintaining a secure and functional website. See Vercel's privacy policy for details.

Third-Party Services & External Links

We link to external services for support and community. When you follow these links, you leave our site and are subject to those services' own privacy policies. We have no control over their data practices. Services we link to include:
